Jacob
Dabdoub

Jacob leads business development, client relations, and strategic partnerships for the firm. He also advises clients on estate and succession planning, family governance, and tax efficient investing.

 

Prior to Modum, Jacob practiced as a tax, family governance, and estate planning advisor in various law firms, advising UHNW individuals, family offices, and institutional investors on the design and implementation of investment structures for family-owned businesses, real estate, private equity, and financial assets, among other areas.

 

Jacob holds a bachelor’s degree in law and a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance, both from ITAM, as well as a master’s degree in taxation from the University of Oxford. He is a certified Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) and an Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS).

 

Jacob has participated in several academic and professional conferences and published the book International Exchange of Taxpayers’ Information (Thomson Reuters, 2016).

Gerardo
Ledinich

Gerardo manages the firm’s financial operations and regulatory compliance framework. He directs financial and risk management initiatives to enhance business performance and support the firm’s long-term success.

 

Before Modum, Gerardo worked at two pension funds in Mexico, where he implemented performance measurement and attribution analysis techniques. He began his finance career at a brokerage firm, developing optimal execution algorithms for the equities desk and arbitrage models for the firm’s proprietary account.

 

Gerardo holds a bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics from ITAM and a master’s degree in finance from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto.

Baltasar
Peral

Baltasar leads the firm’s relationships with banks, brokerage firms, and other sell-side institutions. He also manages client service operations, ensuring exceptional service that meets clients’ needs and expectations.

 

Baltasar began his career as a commodities analyst at a multinational agriculture company, where he developed expertise in sales, logistics, and customer relations. He later served as director of operations at a family-owned business in the agriculture and logistics industry, where he played a key role in driving business growth and operational efficiency.

 

Baltasar holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from ITESM and an MBA from Columbia Business School.

Jendanny
Raña

Jendanny directs the firm’s portfolio management, trading, and research activities. He focuses on advancing innovative processes to reduce uncertainty and improve investment outcomes.

 

Prior to Modum, Jendanny held several executive roles at two pension funds in Mexico, where his leadership contributed to top industry ratings for risk and regulatory compliance, as well as the efficient management of portfolios valued in excess of forty billion dollars. He also worked at a hedge fund specializing in quantitative methods, developing and implementing portfolio optimization models.

 

Jendanny holds two bachelor’s degrees from ITAM, one in applied mathematics and the other in economics. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Chartered Alternative Investments Analyst (CAIA), and Financial Risk Manager (FRM).
